Unsolicited Information and Ideas Policy

We welcome feedback about our products and services. We do not accept ideas, suggestions or other material in confidence.

We develop our products and services continuously, and we may already be working on something similar to what you send us, or may develop something similar later and independently. These terms allow us to read what people send us rather than refuse it.

Application of these terms

These terms apply to any material you send us, however you send it, and whether or not we invited, requested, encouraged or asked for it.

These terms apply on submission, automatically. They cannot be varied, displaced or overridden by any term, condition, notice, marking or communication you attach to or send with your material, and nothing you send us imposes any obligation on us.

These terms do not apply where we have agreed with you in writing, before you send the material, that they do not apply or that other terms govern the material.

By sending us material, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not send it.

Terms

1. Assignment. All material you submit, and all intellectual property rights in that material, vest in and are assigned to us on submission, absolutely and without compensation. Where a right cannot be assigned, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty free, exclusive, transferable and sublicensable licence to exercise that right for any purpose, and you consent to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe your moral rights.
2. Unrestricted use. We may use, modify, adapt, reproduce, publish, distribute, license, sell, commercialise and otherwise exploit the material for any purpose, in any medium, anywhere in the world, forever, without restriction, without acknowledgement and without further reference to you. The rights vest in us or in such other person as we nominate, and may be transferred at any time.
3. Irrevocable. Your submission and the assignment of it are final. Neither can be withdrawn, revoked, cancelled or made subject to conditions after submission, and no request to return, delete or stop using the material has any effect.
4. No obligation. We are not required to review, consider, respond to, act on, implement, acknowledge, return or retain anything you send us.
5. No confidentiality. We are under no obligation of confidence in respect of your submission, express or implied. Do not send us anything you want kept secret.
6. No compensation or credit. You will not be paid, credited, attributed or otherwise compensated, whether or not we use your submission, and whether or not your submission proves valuable to us.
7. Independent development. We may independently conceive, develop, acquire or commercialise anything similar to or identical with your submission, and you make no claim against us in respect of it. We are not required to show that we did so independently.
8. No relationship. Sending us material creates no partnership, employment, agency, joint venture, fiduciary or confidential relationship, and no expectation of any dealing between us.
9. Your warranties. You confirm that the material is yours to provide, that you hold all rights necessary to provide the material on these terms, that providing the material does not infringe the rights of anyone else or breach any obligation you owe to anyone else, and that no other person has any claim to the material. You are responsible for any loss we suffer if this is not so.
10. No claim. You release us from, and will not bring, any claim arising from our receipt or use of your submission.

Exceptions

These terms do not apply to reports of a suspected security vulnerability in one of our systems. We treat such reports confidentially, we claim no rights in them, and we take no action against anyone reporting in good faith.
